KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Three former supporters and colleagues of Congressman Fred Upton say they are disappointed that the man they once considered to be a moderate Republican has changed so much.
Former Democratic Congressman Mark Schauer, Julie Fletcher Wolpe the widow of former Congressman Howard Wolpe and local Attorney Bob Connelly, who has lost both legs due to diabetes say they feel a little betrayed, particularly because of his stand on healthcare, and his repeated efforts to dismantle Obamacare.
They feel likes they lost more than a representative, they’ve lost a friend.
