KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — It was a perfect night for Trick or Treat with the Millers who live in Westwood, a popular neighborhood on Halloween in Kalamazoo Township.
They have it down to a science, buying in bulk at Costco, they get the bigger treats, which means they don’t have to pass out 2 or 3 of the smaller holiday sized candies
It also makes them a popular stop.
They put out two bowls, one with chocolate treats and the other with non-chocolates and they let the kids pick.
They say they are haunted by about 450 ghouls, ghosts, pirates and princesses on a typical Halloween, but have heard some parts of town have as many as 12-hundred may come to some homes.
As we left, they were lined up out to the sidewalk and down the block.
No tricks but lots of treats.
