GENEVA TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The search is on for a 2002 dark colored Pontiac Grand Prix who was able to elude a police chase from the South Haven area last night.
According to Van Buren County Sheriff’s Deputies Eric Calhoun and Larry Weers, they were attempting to pull over the older-model vehicle around 9:30 PM for a speeding violation along County Road 687 near County Road 380. They pursued the vehicle for several miles, with the assistance of Pokagon Tribal Police, but pulled out of the chase “due to the erratic driving by the suspect.” The automobile was last seen driving north on 60th Street into Allegan County. No other descriptions of the vehicle or of the suspect/suspects were immediately disclosed.
