KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Saturday’s stormy weather left thousands without power scattered all over the state.
Well over a thousand Consumers Energy customers in both Kalamazoo and Calhoun Counties woke up Sunday without power and over two thousand in Allegan County.
I & M Electric reports that in the border counties, over 15-thousand woke up without power. 13,850 of them live in Berrien County.
Crews from both utilities are out in force working on repairing the damage.
Both utilities are telling residents to stay away from downed lines that could be live and life threatening.
