KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Two Kalamazoo teens are recovering after shots were fired near the Eastside Neighborhood.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officers were called to the 800 block of Riverview Drive just before 10 p.m. Sunday and discovered a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old both with non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
The suspects got away in a stolen silver Nissan Altima with an Illinois plate.
Authorities located the vehicle and chased the suspects until they crashed near Davis Street and Wheaton Avenue.
The occupants got out of the car and fled on foot, but one of them was quickly arrested.
The other two were later arrested and all three were taken into custody.
Michigan State Police, the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department and Western Michigan University officers assisted in the arrest.
No names or further details were released.
