HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Saugatuck resident Troy Lang, 49, has died, after a single-vehicle crash Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Road Patrol Sgt. Mike VanDenBosch.
Police received the news from the Ottawa County’s Medical Examiner that Mr. Lang died as a result of his injuries, VanDenBosch said.
The crash happened just after 5 p.m.on Lakeshore Drive, just south of Inland Drive in Port Sheldon Township.
Lang, at the wheel of a 2010 Toyota SUV which was pulling a utility trailer, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree, police said.
Alcohol use was not a factor in this crash; Lang was using his safety belt, according to police.
