KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Warrants have been signed charging Donnavan Lewis with prison escape, but that may be the least of his problems, and not the prime focus of the prosecutor as they gear up for his murder trial next week.
Back at the Jail, Sheriff Rick Fuller says Lewis’s athleticism was what made it possible for him to scale the two security fences and they have taken measures to make sure that even Lewis could not repeat the feat.
They planned to arraign Lewis yesterday but they apparently ran out of time.
He is being held for the brutal slaying of ex-girlfriend Aniya Mack, reportedly motivated by jealousy over her alleged relationship with a prominent local pastor.
