KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety officers are searching for a suspect after gunshots rang out in the Edison Neighborhood.
Authorities say a man near Vernon and Elgin Streets fired six shots at a subject walking on Vernon around 9 a.m. Thursday, but then the two fled on foot.
A K-9 was called in to try to track down the gunman, but he was not found.
Nobody is in custody at this time and investigators believe the suspect, who did not have a description, may have left in a vehicle parked nearby.
No word on if the other subject was struck by the bullets.
