ORONOKO TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — A bicyclist from Berrien Springs was struck and killed by a hit and run driver just after 4pm on Saturday.
Berrien County Deputies say that 32-year-old Todd Harrington was pedaling along Pokagon Road just east of his hometown when a woman in a small Ford SUV struck and killed him, and then fled the scene.
The collision was witnessed by a man and his young son, who were able to give police a good description of the woman’s vehicle and her license plate number.
Deputies were able to intercept her vehicle and took her into custody. They say the 23-year-old woman had a blood alcohol count that was three times the legal limit.
