SPRINGFIELD (WKZO AM/FM) — A Battle Creek woman who was riding a motorcycle was killed just before Midnight Saturday night when she tried to take the curve on Dickman Road in Springfield at an excessive rate of speed and lost control.
Calhoun County Deputies say they believe that alcohol may have also played a role in the crash.
They say she left the paved surface and slammed into a sign.
She was dead at the scene. She was not wearing a helmet. Her name has been withheld while deputies notify her family.
