VILLAGE OF SCHOOLCRAFT (WKZO AM/FM) — Residents in the Village of Schoolcraft can use their water again.
A boil water advisory was issued on Wednesday, but it has now been lifted as of 1 p.m. Thursday.
Officials say the municipal water is free from bacteria and safe to drink.

VILLAGE OF SCHOOLCRAFT (WKZO AM/FM) — A boil water advisory is in place for the Village of Schoolcraft.
Schoolcraft Police Department Chief Bryan Campbell says an outside contractor accidentally shut off the water supply on Wednesday causing a loss of pressure in the system.
Any time there is a loss of pressure for a long period of time bacterial contamination could occur.
As a precaution, all Schoolcraft residents should boil their water for one minute before using or just switch to bottled water.
This goes for every task like drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, or preparing and washing food.
Crews are working to restore the water pressure and will collect samples to make sure the water is not contaminated.
They expect the problem will be fixed in 24 hours, but they will let homeowners know when the advisory has been lifted.
