KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Kalamazoo resident is in custody after gunshots rang out on the city’s Northside.
Public Safety officers were called to the area of North Edwards and Parson Street just before 5 p.m. Tuesday after reports of shots fired and a description of the suspect.
Officers spotted the gunman, took them into custody after a brief foot chase, and recovered a pistol nearby.
They aren’t saying what the gunman was shooting at.
The 25-year-old was arrested and booked into the Kalamazoo County Jail for carrying a concealed weapon, reckless discharge of a firearm, and resisting and obstructing an officer.
