KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A church-owned soup kitchen in downtown Kalamazoo is lending a helping hand to those in need.
Reverend William Stein says God’s Kitchen of Michigan is hosting a free Labor Day dinner from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at First Baptist Church on West Michigan Avenue.
The meal will consist of BBQ chicken or pork spare ribs, macaroni salad, corn on the cob, and pound cake.
The event is open to the public and there is no income requirement in order to eat.
For anyone looking to help, God’s Kitchen of Michigan is also asking for donations on their GoFundMe page to continue feeding the homeless and hungry in Kalamazoo and Battle Creek.
