HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Expect intermittent thunderstorms today in and around Allegan and Ottawa counties, according to the National Weather Service.
The storms will start by afternoon bringing heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds. The line of weather could bring more storms daily through Wednesday, according to the current forecast.
A beach hazards statement is also in effect through tonight from north of Holland to Manistee, at the least, according to NWS officials.
Swiming could be difficult to dangerous, with waves reaching 3 to 5 feet. Winds could gust up to 25 mph, creating stong and dangerous currents that could be life-threatening.
