SOUTH HAVEN (WKZO AM/FM) — South Haven Police are crediting an eagle-eyed civilian for helping them break up a car burglary ring.
Local investigators say there has been a rash of such thefts recently in South Haven and in the Township. The civilian took down the license number of a car fleeing the scene of some attempted burglaries and notified police.
That led investigators to an 18-year-old male and a 2-year-old female, and a search of two homes, where a number of stolen items were recovered.
They are now trying to match the stolen items to the victims.
The two suspects are being held on half a dozen felonies.
