TUCSON, ARIZONA (WKZO AM/FM) — The former USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University doctor charged with sexually abusing hundreds of young female athletes is on the move.
Larry Nassar has been transferred from an Arizona prison near Tucson and is being held at the Oklahoma Federal Transfer Center.
It comes weeks after his lawyers claimed he was assaulted in prison in May, soon after he was released into the prison population.
Nassar is serving a 60-year federal sentence for child pornography charges. He was also sentenced to up to 175 years in Ingham County for preying on young female athletes at MSU.
He is appealing his sentences.
