WRIGHT TWP. (WHTC-AM/FM) — Ottawa County Sheriff’s authorities say four people were hospitalized after a Marne traffic crash Thursday.
The accident happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. at 24th Avenue and Roosevelt Street in Wright Township, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Dill, when a Honda CRV going east on Roosevelt failed to stop at the intersection, hitting a Ford Taurus heading north on 24th. Both vehicles spun off the road and rolled over.
The CRV’s driver, Linda Simmons was airlifted to the hospital, where she is in critical but stable condition. The occupants of the Taurus, Joshua Feldpausch and his 11- and 9-year-old children, were also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s road patrol officers were assisted at the scene by Wright and Chester townships’ respective firefighters and Coopersville Fire Rescue as well as Life EMS and Aeromed.
