ALLEGAN (WKZO AM/FM) — James Pyle of Allegan was 24 when he pretended to be a 15-year-old on Facebook to lure other teens into sending him dirty pictures.
Using the name “Roman Kalhart” he befriended young girls and convinced 50 to 70 minors to send him sexually explicit photos of themselves.
He was convicted of accosting a minor and ordered to serve 33 months to 4-years in State Prison and is due to be released in November.
The U.S. Attorney decided to try him for sexual exploitation of a minor, and was successful. Now when Pyle is released from the State Corrections Department, he will be transferred to a Federal Prison to serve 20 years.
He has also been ordered to remain on supervised release for 10-years after that.
