KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Construction crews say an accidentally severed gas line caused a natural gas leak and multiple road closures in downtown Kalamazoo.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Portage Road around 10:30 a.m. Monday after reports of the gas leak.
South Street from John Street to Portage Road was closed for several hours as crews investigated the incident and worked to repair the line.
