PARK TWP. (WHTC-AM/FM) — It’s Senior Day at the 2018 Ottawa County Fair.
Whichever day you go, you’ll find a variety of food booths dedicated to classic fair food — funnel cakes, corn dogs, elephant ears, pizza and barbeque… and you’ll also find North Holland Reformed Church’s annual pie booth.
WHTC talked to two booth volunteers who are convinced the raspberry cream pie is the best, but there are dozens from which to choose.
Many of the pies, which cost $3 per slice, are made by Jean Assink including those crusts made from scratch.
All proceeds from the pie booth go to the church’s missions, from West Michigan, across the U-S, to as far away as India.
The fair runs through Saturday.
