BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) –A Battle Creek drug dealer who abandoned a client who was overdosing in the snow in subfreezing temperatures, has been given life in prison, because that man, Michael Newman froze to death in January of last year.
Jerrell Finch claims he thought the man would come to and walk away and that way he could avoid any issues with the police. But that story falls apart when you know he drove back several hours later to retrieve the man’s cellphone, and he was still there.
The 37-year-old was given life for second degree murder and 37 to 75 for delivering a controlled substance.
