ROYALTON TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Berrien County Sheriff’s Dive Team will resume their search Monday for a 35-year-old Kalamazoo man missing in the St. Joseph River.
Michael Scott was kayaking with friends from the Kalamazoo Paddle Club when he went under and did not resurface near the Jasper Dairy Boat Launch Saturday evening.
His kayak has been found.
Police used both an aerial and an underwater drone in their search Sunday, which was called off at about 2:30 p.m. due to low underwater visibility, fast flowing water, and debris.
He was reported missing shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday.
Family and friends of Scott continue to look for him.
