BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) –Battle Creek Police have released an artist’s sketch of the suspect in last Tuesday’s attempted abduction of a 15-year-old, hoping it will be recognized by someone who can identify the perpetrator.
Battle Creek Detectives now say there doesn’t appear to be any connection between an attempt to abduct a 15-year-old girl on E. Minges Road, and an attempted assault on a senior citizen along a path near Riverside Elementary on Thursday.
They say they have interviewed the 70-year-old victim again and others who were in the area and they now thing it was a different perpetrator.
They are still looking for the man who attempted to abduct he teen and asking that anyone in a prescribed area who might have surveillance video, to review it and get back to them if they see the suspect vehicle, which is described as a mini-van with a black bottom and a light blue top.
They have issued a picture of a vehicle they are looking for and put out a request for more private video from surveillance cameras near the first attempted abduction. You can see the area they are requesting the footage from at our website.
