LANSING (WTHC-AM/FM) — If you’ve got plans to drive through Lansing this weekend, M-DOT has a message for you: I-96 will be closed for up to three hours Sunday morning for utility work, starting at 6 a.m.
The highway will close in both directions to allow for Comcast crews to install utility wires, according to an M-DOT statement emailed to media. Michigan State Police troopers will be on scene to provide additional traffic control — the temporary closure is being done to ensure the safety of utility workers and motorists, according to MDOT officials.
