LANSING, MI (WTVB) – Michigan residents who heat their homes over the winter with propane are being urged by state officials to both lock in their rate now, and get the tank filled before the cold weather hits.
Michigan Agency for Energy executive director Anne Armstrong Cusack notes propane stocks nationwide are a little higher than last year, but are down 27-percent from 2016.
The state leads the nation in residential propane consumption, and eight-percent of of homeowners use it as their primary heat source.
