HEATH TWP., MI (WKZO-AM/FM) — A 27-year-old man has been killed in an off-road vehicle crash in Heath Township in Allegan County late Saturday night.
Two people riding on an ORV at about 10:15 collided in the dark with a tree that had fallen across a trail approximately a half-mile into the Allegan State Game Area, according to a statement from Allegan County Sheriff’s Office.
The ORV’s passenger, a Hudsonville resident, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
The condition of the driver was not released, but the Sheriff’s office statement indicated alcohol was a factor and that their investigation will be turned over to the Allegan County Prosecutor’s Office for possible charges.
