WAYLAND (WKZO AM/FM) — Another child has died in Allegan County. Wayland Police report that a five year old boy rode his bike out of the family driveway directly into the path of a car.
City Police and EMS were dispatched to a street in Windsor Woods Estates at about 7:30 Friday evening.
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Driver was a 33-year-old female who was apparently making a delivery for Jimmy Johns.
The accident remains under investigation.
No names were released.
Jimmy John’s has issued a statement calling it a tragedy, offering their condolences and saying they are cooperating with the Police investigation.
