ALAMO TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — A reckless driver and his young passenger are in serious condition after a rollover crash in Kalamazoo County.
It happened just before 2 p.m. Sunday on U.S. 131 near D Avenue in Alamo Township.
Witnesses claim that the driver was speeding, swerving in and out of traffic, and passing other motorists on the shoulders, when he hit loose gravel and lost control.
The vehicle rolled multiple times and into a ditch where the driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the car and the passenger was still trapped inside.
Good Samaritans stopped to help the victims.
The driver was admitted into Bronson Methodist with life-threatening injuries. His passenger was last listed in serious condition.
Michigan State Police are still investigating the single car crash.
