BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — A Battle Creek man is expected to stand trial for beating a victim to death and hiding the body.
48-year-old Marko McGee is charged with first degree murder in the death of 43-year-old Diablo White.
White’s body was found naked in the trunk of his girlfriend’s car on May 21st when she picked up the vehicle at Tiger’s Towing.
McGee initially claimed that White attempted to rob him in his home and died in a struggle over his gun and a hammer, but his attorney told the court during his preliminary hearing they were reserving their defense for trial.
Based on the evidence presented, the judge bound McGee over to Circuit Court to be tried for murder, two gun felonies, resisting arrest, and being a habitual offender.
