PINE GROVE TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — Troy Taylor was formally charged with open murder and his bond increased to $3-million for the shooting death of Timothy Henley.
Taylor is accused of shooting and killing Henley last Thursday outside a home in Pine Grove Township near Gobles.
Investigators say that Taylor and Henley were good friends until Henley started dating Taylor’s ex-girlfriend and the mother of his daughter.
That’s when Taylor came over to pick up his daughter, an argument began, Henley punched out the side window of Taylor’s car, and Taylor shot him.
Taylor is an ex-convict and isn’t allowed to possess a gun which is another minor charge he is facing.
Detectives say some of the people who helped Taylor evade capture will soon be charged with harboring a fugitive.
He was captured at a home near White Pigeon.
