KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A suspect who is under investigation for a rash of home invasions on Battle Creek’s south side will also face charges for twice fleeing from officers.
The first time came on Saturday when he was confronted by police after he triggered an alarm at a home on Glenn Cross Road.
He took a swing at an officer and ran into a swampy area and had to be tracked down.
Then on Monday he tried to flee from the Battle Creek Police Station, scaling a 6-foot construction fence before officers were able to recapture him.
The 42-year-old has not yet been formally charged.
