ALLEGAN (WKZO AM/FM) — A four-legged co-worker from the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office is now better protected.
The non-profit Vested Interest in K9s donated a $950 bullet and stab protective vest for K9 Luca.
The vest was sponsored by Sharon Peters from Grosse Point Shores in memory of Detective Lieutenant Richard J. Scott.
Luca has been working for almost a year and Allegan Sheriff deputies say he is a valuable member of their team and say the equipment will help him stay safe.
