GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO AM/FM) — Officers from the Grand Rapids Police Department are “bringing home the bacon” after discovering a lost pet pig over the weekend.
Authorities said they were called to the 2,000 block of McKee Avenue S.W. in Grand Rapids after reports the domesticated pot-bellied pig “eluding” the neighbors.
The officers lured the pig into the backseat of their police cruiser using treats and posted selfies with the detained animal on their Facebook page.
The pig was not injured and was turned over to the Kent County Animal Control so it could be reunited with its owner.
