KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A Portage man who allegedly robbed the Galesburg pharmacy on Friday, taking nothing but pills, has now been formally charged.
Deputies say 22-year-old Josiah Perkins walked in armed with a handgun, demanded pain-killers, and fled.
A quick-thinking employee grabbed her cell phone and took pictures of the getaway vehicle.
That led deputies to a home in Portage where they arrested Perkins and a woman, and recovered the stolen pills.
He is charged with armed robbery, unlawfully driving away, and a drug count.
Bond was denied.
The woman who was taken into custody has not been charged so far.
