BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — Marco McGee has finally had his story explained to a Calhoun County Judge. Detectives say he admitted he killed Diabulo White with a hammer, doused his naked body with gas and stuffed it in the trunk of his girlfriend’s car.
He told detectives it was self-defense.
At a preliminary hearing Wednesday, Detective Tyler Sutherland testified that McGee claimed White, who was an acquaintance came to his home wearing a mask with a gun to kill him and he had to protect himself and his daughter.
McGee told police he managed to disarm White and hit him in the head with a hammer.
He then got the car White was using, put the body in the trunk, doused it with gas and drove it back to Helen Montgomery Street to send a message to the Park Hill Neighborhood that he was still alive.
The Judge adjourned the preliminary hearing until June 28th without making a decision.
