KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The man with the matching tattoos has been formally charged with sticking up the Marathon gas station on M-43 at U.S. 131 early Monday morning.
Aaron Joseph Haynes is being held on 100-thousand dollars bond because of an extensive criminal record.
Deputies say he walked into the gas station, wearing a blue bandana over his face and threatened to harm the clerk if he didn’t hand over the cash.
Kalamazoo County Sheriff Rick Fuller says they brought in a K-9, and the dog led them straight to the Super-8 Motel, where they found Haynes.
The suspect had distinctive tattoos that matched what they saw in surveillance videos from the robbery.
According to the Michigan Department of Corrections, Haynes has “Game” tattooed on a left finger and “Over” tattooed on a right finger. When he holds them both up, its “Game Over”.
Call it poetic justice.
