KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A masked gunman is on the run after investigators found some intriguing clues at the scene of a shooting in the Edison neighborhood.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officers got call from Bronson Emergency at about 11 a.m. Wednesday that a man had driven himself to the hospital after he suffered a non-life threatening bullet wound.
Sgt. Steven Heyduck says the shooting took place on Hayes Park near James Street and a search of the area turned up a shell casing and packaged narcotics dumped on the ground.
Investigators say they don’t believe the victim was the intended target of the gunman, but aren’t saying why.
The guman is described as an African American man wearing dark clothing and a mask.
