KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A driver is in custody after several high speed chases across Kalamazoo County.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers were first conducting a traffic stop, but the suspect sped off and authorities later terminated the pursuit.
Later, after spotting and attempting to stop the vehicle multiple times, authorities used spike strips to flatten the suspect’s tires on I-94 near Oakland Drive in Kalamazoo Township.
However, the driver continued speeding up to 100mph on 3 flat tires.
