BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — The man that Battle Creek Police believe used a hammer to kill 43-year old Diabulo White has been formally charged with six felonies, including open murder.
48-year-old Marko McGee, a habitual offender, is being held without bond following his arraignment on Wednesday.
McGee blurted out during his arraignment that White tried to kill him.
But investigators believe McGee killed White at his home on Somerset Avenue, stripped the body naked, put him in the trunk of the Toyota that White had borrowed from his girlfriend, poured gasoline on the body, and left the car where it would be towed away on Saturday.
When the Camry was reclaimed by White’s girlfriend at Tiger’s Towing on Monday, she discovered the body and called police.
Officials received a tip that McGee was the perpetrator and he was arrested 90-minutes after the body was found.
