DORR (WKZO AM/FM) — A brewery in Dorr is honoring a local landmark, the 100 St. overpass at tthat t has developed a notorius reputation for shearing of the tops of trucks that are too tall to slip beneath the span.
5 Lakes Brewing Company released the 100th Street Bridge Wheat in honor of the 100th Street bridge over U.S. 131 in Byron Township, which has been hit by trucks hauling oversized loads at least eight times this year.
The beer’s tap is wrapped in bubble wrap in light of a Facebook event created last month titled “Bubble Wrap the 100th Street Overpass.”
