KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A substitute teacher who allegedly struck a couple of students at the Maple Street Magnet School Tuesday was escorted out of the building and is being investigated by both Public Safety and the KPS Human Resources Department.
Parents received notification by note and by robo-call about the incident.
The two students were not injured and finished out the rest of the day in class.
School officials aren’t offering any details about what triggered the teacher to smack the students.
