HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Linda LeFebre has resigned as executive director of the Macatawa Area Express, where she’d worked since 2001, according to a Holland Sentinel report.
She went on paid leave in March, as news of an embezzlement investigation developed. The Holland Police Department is investigating; no charges have been filed. .
Her letter of resignation is a likely topic for the board’s next meeting, set for Monday, May 21.
MAX Transit currently has two interim co-directors: customer service and marketing manager Beth Higgs is sharing executive duties with operations manager Derek Broadbent.
