KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo County Deputies are investigating a fatal accident that has claimed the life of a young child.
They say the 2-1/2 year old victim fell out of a moving tractor on private property and was run over.
It happened at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the 9,200 block of East X Avenue, just east of Vicksburg in Brady Township.
The boy has been identified as Mason William Heikes.
They say it appears to just be a terrible accident, and the Sheriff is offering his condolences to the family.
South County Fire and Pride Care responded, as well as County Deputies.
