CASS COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A senior motorcyclist is injured after a crash late Sunday morning on M-51 in front of the Four Winds Casino in Cass County.
75-year-old Gerald Keesler of Dowagiac was following a vehicle that was slowing to pull into a gas station.
Keesler decided to pull his bike around the slowing vehicle just as Ervin Wade of Dowagiac was pulling out of a drive way further along.
Both were screened from seeing the other by the first vehicle.
The two met nearly head-on with Keesler, who was not wearing a helmet, being thrown from the bike.
The impact was powerful enough to trigger Wade’s airbags.
Keesler’s condition has not been released.
Cass County deputies say alcohol and drugs were not a factor.
