KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Public Safety isn’t saying what got a driver so upset that he pulled out a gun and fired at another motorist, but they are calling it road rage and have a man in custody.
Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers got a 911 call from a driver on East Michigan late Tuesday morning that a driver in a gold colored Chrysler 300 had just taken a couple of shots at him.
The driver was able to give the dispatcher a description of the car and the direction he was going.
Patrols were able to intercept the gunman and get him to pull over; detaining the man after a gun was found between the seats of the vehicle.
The 55-year-old reportedly confessed to the road rage incident and was booked into the Kalamazoo County jail for felonious assault and carrying a concealed weapon.
