KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A Kalamazoo man is now a quarter of a million dollars richer after discovering he had the winning lottery ticket all along.
Michigan Lottery officials say the 57-year-old man bought a Keno ticket at the Portage Meijer on Shaver Road back in January, put it in his wallet, and went on with his day.
Recently during his lunch break he went to scan the ticket and the machine told him to file a claim with the lottery office, realizing that he won $250,000.
The winner is remaining anonymous but he said the earnings will help him stop living paycheck to paycheck.
