MARSHALL TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) — A controlled burn in Calhoun County’s Marshall Township got out of hand on Sunday.
Marshall Township fire investigators say shifting and gusting winds were to blame.
Seven fire departments had to be called in as the fire spread in the 14,000 block of L Drive North.
By the time the flames were put out, 25 acres had been scorched.
No injuries were reported and no property was damaged.
Some of the fire departments had to ferry water to the scene.
