UTAH (WKZO AM/FM) — Michigan native Mitt Romney seemed like a shoe-in for his party’s nomination to replace Senator Orin Hatch of Utah, who is retiring.
But even the former Governor of Massachusetts and Presidential Candidate could not get 60% of the vote at the party convention this weekend, in the seriously divided GOP.
He will face a primary challenge from State Representative Mike Kennedy in June.
Many still consider Romney to still be the favorite.
