MARSHALL, MI (WTVB) – A Marshall man is recovering after accidentally shooting himself at a gas station.
The man stopped for gas at Family Fare near West Drive and Michigan Avenue Thursday afternoon and when he opened his back hatch, his duffel bag fell out.
The 45-caliber handgun inside the bag went off when it hit the ground, shooting the man in the leg.
No other injuries were reported and police say the victim does have a concealed pistol permit. The Calhoun County Prosecutor is further investigating the incident.
