ANN ARBOR, MI – The economy has consistently been the one thing the Trump administration could boast about as a success, but Americans are feeling less confident about it. The University of Michigan’s consumer sentiment index fell more than three points in April amid fears of a possible trade war with China. Concerns about rising interest rates also worried consumers. The mid-month reading of 97.8 was a larger drop than analysts expected coming off March’s 14-year high.
